Crafting Community

ColorWheel Gallery is a vibrant, community-centered art space in South Minneapolis. For over 21 years, it has showcased the work of 800+ local artists and hosted exhibits, pop-ups, and workshops that celebrate diverse voices and social change. The boutique-style space features unique, handmade, upcycled, and vintage items—from jewelry and folk art to records and books. ColorWheel invites everyone to shop with intention, connect through creativity, and feed their artist soul.

About Tammy

Tammy Ortegon is a self-taught, multi-media folk artist,  life long resident of Minneapolis., and founder of ColorWheel Gallery. For over three decades, she has exhibited her vibrant, socially conscious art throughout the Twin Cities while leading public art projects, murals, and festivals. Passionate about equity, sustainability, and creative collaboration, Tammy created ColorWheel to uplift community voices and make art accessible to all. Her work blends bold color, texture, and storytelling to inspire connection and change.
